Amazon’s Prime Day (or week, in some cases) has always been complicated for me. I’m trying to live more sustainably. I have always leaned toward minimalism. But there are things we think we need for the new house, and we do like saving money. Thus, “Intentional Prime Day” was born. Intentional Prime Day (July 16-17, 2024), or Intentional Prime Week forces us to take a look at what our actual needs are versus the “ooooh, pretty and cheap” response that is pure want.

Small Space Sofa Deals on Amazon Prime Day
We are on the hunt for two bigger decor items. The first is a sofa bed for the office/guest room. Needless to say, the first time I searched something on Google, I started getting a flood of email ads and social sponsored ads about the best couches for small spaces. Forget the fact that their definition of “small space” doesn’t come even close to mine. I mean, we couldn’t even get an 84-inch sofa into our back office door.
The good news is that I’m now starting to wade through some truly fun modular and convertible small sofa options that look like they may be of decent quality. One of them is on sale through Amazon’s prime day. And one of them is on sale for “Prime Week” that is sold at a deep discount directly through the company (wooo — it’s very tempting in terms of quality and customer service).
69” Convertible Queen Size Sleeper Sofa Bed, Modern Linen Loveseat Sofa Couch with Pull Out Bed
This multifunction option looks good, easy to use, and relatively easy to clean. The height might make it a bit challenging for us to keep under the office window, but there are other spots for it. It looks like it could be a comfy spot to curl up and read or lounge in the chaise while editing. Both things I’m looking for right now. Would it be comfortable to sleep on? I think we might want to get a mattress pad for overnight guests eventually. The current Amazon prime deal price is just under $800. It’s a company I don’t know much about, but I think I’m willing to learn more.
You can save $750 on this completely modular sofa during Transformer Table’s own version of Prime Day. Their Prime Week deal lasts for another two days, and it has seriously caught my attention. Because it is modular and designed for flexible space needs, I don’t have to worry about struggling to get it in the door. Not only can it be adjusted for whatever need (sleeping space, cozy couch, chaise), but the company is known for making quality products. They currently have free shipping on the sofa. Bit temptation here.
Convertible Sofa Bed, 3-in-1 Multi-Functional Velvet Sleeper Couch Pull-Out Bed
Smaller than the others, this convertible sofa bed looks like something I could sink into while working while still being something something that could be comfortable for an overnight guest. The color options are limited — having a white or cream sofa sounds like a recipe for disaster (or constant cleaning bills). But I like the overall design and having a chaise would be a nice option. It’s also incredibly inexpensive even when the prime day discounts are gone. It’s something I’m pondering.
Not technically a prime day deal, but currently on sale, the Oslo 2 has been tempting me for months. It would fit perfectly under our office window, and it seems firm, yet comfortable. It’s on clearance right now, and depending on which color picked, that can be a significant savings. It is a bit more expensive than the other options, but it’s a company that seems to have a solid reputation. There are some good color options, and I love being able to put in a queen bed or just use it as a very big chaise when reading time calls.
